We are very excited to present a collaboration between two of Australia’s finest young classical musicians as part of our Festival.
Percussionist, Thea Rossen holds a Bachelor of Music with honours from the University of Western Australia. During her time at the Australian National Academy of Music, she was awarded prizes for all of her solo recitals. She was a finalist for the Freedman Classical Music Fellowship for 2018.
She has performed with a large range of international artists and has been a casual member of the percussion sections in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria. She has presented works at the Perth and Melbourne International Arts Festivals.
Jennifer Timmins, flautist, graduated from the Australian National Academy of music in 2016 and followed that up with a Master of Music Research degree from Griffith University. Referred to by Limelight Magazine as a ‘rising star’, Jennifer is particularly passionate about collaborating with like-minded musicians in chamber music and orchestral settings.
Jennifer is on the casual musician list for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
In 2017 she spent 7 weeks touring with Opera Australia, performing Mozart’s ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.
