Waratah Hills Vineyard presents:

The Lady of the Swamp, a musical narration

The L’Nane sisters, Patricia, Gay and Jacqui with accompaniment present the songs from Patricia’s truly gripping musical theatre production about the disappearance of Margaret Clement, one of Victoria’s intriguing mysteries.

Margaret Clement was a wealthy Victorian heiress whose life fell into ruin. She finished her days living alone in a swamp on the banks of the Tarwin River in South Gippsland. She lived  in her decaying mansion Tullaree surrounded by waist deep water.  She became known as ‘The Lady of the Swamp’ after her mysterious disappearance.

The show is based on this local story detailed in two books ‘The Lady of the Swamp’ and ‘Swamp, who murdered Margaret Clement’.

The production was shortlisted in the Pratt Prize for music theatre.
